The latest research published in the Academy of Sports Dentistry&#039;s referring journal, the Jounal of Dental Traumatology, should be considered as part of the solution. Concussions come in three different forms, blows to the crown of the head, spine and jaw. The NFL&#039;s own research show a need for a better mouth guard protocol, a clinical physical evaluation, which can help determine sucseptability. A specific protocol used and developed by a Tufts head and neck specialist and N.E. Patriot team dentist, is just that.  The Patriots have the lowest concussion rate annually, its just a better mouse trap.
