Hi Joseph,

The CDC has information on Guillain-Barré syndrome as it relates to the H1N1 vaccine that should be helpful for you.

Back in 1978, I had Gullian Barr'e and recovered 99%. With H1N1, should I be getting the H1N1 flu shot???

Your prompt attention most appreciated and I live in Toronto, Canada and next week the H1N1 shot will be made available to everyone.

Joe

Hi Sabine,

The CDC offers guidelines as to when you should get the seasonal flu vaccine.

Both my kids and I had flu like symptoms within the last 3 weeks. Kids were sicker than me. Everybody recovered. My husband stayed healthy (born before 1957!) Up to 40% of children in certain classes of their school are out with flu like symptoms. I assume this was H1N1. (no testing done) I do not plan to get H1N1 vaccine for any of us. Why risk vaccine side effects if you had the disease already? But here is the question: When should you get the seasonal flu vaccine after (presumed) H1N1 infection? My kids still need it.
